Rochester Institute of Technology presents D-Wave Systems Quantum Computing Seminar 

September 20, 2018 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM ET

D-Wave Systems, the leader in the development and delivery of quantum computing systems, software and tools, is pleased to invite you to our quantum computing seminar at Rochester Institute of Technology. 

During the seminar we will discuss the state of quantum computing in 2018, the current and future planes for D-Wave technology, the latest software tools, how quantum computers are being applied to problems in optimization, machine learning material simulation and more.

Seminar will be held at Rochester Institute of Technology, 1 Lomb Memorial Dr, Rochester, NY 14623, Campus Center - CPC-2650 Bamboo Room

Presenters:

 

 

Robert "Bo" Ewald President, D-Wave International  Mr. Ewald leads D-Wave’s international business as president, and is responsible for global customer operations for the company. He has a long history with technology organizations, government projects, and industry efforts. These include having been the CEO of visualization and HPC leader Silicon Graphics Inc., president of supercomputing leader Cray Research, and serving on the President’s Information Technology Advisory Council in both the Clinton and Bush administrations. He started his career at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

 

Dr. Victoria Goliber - Victoria recently joined D-Wave Systems after working as a mathematician for the US Air Force Research Laboratory.  She completed her PhD in Discrete Mathematics at Arizona State University, and is currently pursuing a MS degree in Computer Science through Georgia Tech.  With several years of experience in using D-Wave quantum computers from the customer side, she now works with the training team to teach others how to use our systems.
